Once upon a time I had the need to pass input parameters of a scripted Calculation View into the PARAMETERS() suffix of a SELECT statement against a parameterized Analytic View. I recall many folks having this same need, and as memory serves me this functionality was introduced into SQLScript in SP6.
Somehow between then and now I've never had to do that same thing again (or I found workarounds), but now have a similar requirement for graphical Calc Views.
Fortunately, today I stumbled across the means for doing this. All you need to do is go the semantic node of your Calculation View, ensure you're already consuming whatever the parameterized source view is, and map the parameters.
Hopefully this helps a few folks who also missed this whenever it was introduced!
(And no, I wasn't really building analytic models against burrito data, but the usual AN_VIEW for testing models gets boring. Maybe next time it'll be AN_LEBERKAESE...)
